We’ll pick you up from your hotel in Putre at 8:00 a.m. and head toward Cosapilla, where Aymara communities live and are dedicated to raising alpacas, llamas, and sheep.

We’ll begin the trekking route on the volcano’s northern face, which has a gentler slope and is free of steep rock walls. The approach follows an internal road that connects the villages of Ancopujo and Cosapilla, specifically near the Uchushuaylla ranch.

This is a high-difficulty route, recommended for experienced trekkers in excellent physical condition. The full journey can take between 8 and 10 hours, requiring endurance and the ability to maintain a steady pace under challenging conditions. The route reaches a maximum altitude of 5,525 meters (18,125 feet) above sea level, so prior acclimatization is crucial to avoid altitude sickness.

We’ll recharge halfway through the route with a picnic that includes sandwiches, nuts, chocolate, and natural juices. After that, we’ll begin the descent along the slope of Lexone Volcano back to the starting point of the trail.

Finally, we’ll return to your hotel in Putre, with an estimated arrival between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m.

Includes: Shared transportation, oxygen equipment, first aid kit, Spanish-speaking driver-guide, and en-route snack. If you require a private tour or an English-speaking guide, pricing can be arranged. There is plenty of time to plan your visit. Small group tours with a minimum of 2 passengers.
