At 8:00 a.m., we will pick you up from your hotel in Putre and head toward the foothills of the Parinacota Province, located in the north of the country.

We will make our first stop at an altitude of 3,150 meters, where we will begin the initial stage of a trekking route that will take approximately 1.5 hours. This first hike will be toward Willacaurane, where the route mainly involves descending. This is an important archaeological site with rock paintings estimated to be between 4,000 and 6,000 years old.

After exploring these prehistoric works of art, we will head toward Cerro Petacane.

This will be a slightly steeper trek, requiring greater effort. On this Andean hill, Aymara traditions and customs are practiced in combination with Catholicism, with the “Cruz de Mayo” ceremony standing out in particular. We will continue with the second stage of the trekking route, which lasts between 3 and 4 hours, allowing us to enjoy the stunning pre-cordillera landscapes at 3,540 meters above sea level.

We’ll stop in these captivating landscapes to rest and recharge with an en-route snack. After eating, we’ll continue exploring this beautiful natural area in northern Chile.

To return to the town of Putre, we will descend from Cerro Petacane through the Pampa de Lluscuma and head back to your hotel. The estimated arrival time is between 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM.

Included: Shared transportation, first aid kit, Spanish-speaking driver-guide, and en-route snack. If you require a private tour or an English-speaking guide, pricing can be arranged. There is plenty of time to plan your visit. Small group tours with a minimum of 2 passengers.

Not Included: English-speaking guide, alcoholic beverages, soft drinks or juices, cold or hot water.
