At 8:00 a.m., we will pick you up from your hotel in Putre and head west of the town.

This route presents a moderate to high level of difficulty, suitable for adventurers with good physical condition and experience in mountain trekking. The trek takes between 8 and 10 hours, requiring considerable effort and proper pacing to complete the journey within the estimated time. The maximum altitude of 4,900 meters above sea level demands prior acclimatization to prevent altitude sickness and adapt to the extreme conditions.

During the trek, you’ll have the opportunity to observe a fascinating variety of wildlife adapted to this desert and mountainous environment. Some of the most notable sightings include: Guanacos, Cóndor Andino, Zorro Culpeo y Lagartijas.

We’ll take a break halfway through the route to enjoy a picnic that includes sandwiches, nuts, chocolate, and natural juices. After recharging, we’ll continue exploring the fascinating surroundings until we reach the Andean village of Socoroma.

Finally, we will return to the starting point and, from there, head back to your hotel in Putre. Arrival is expected between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m.

Includes: Shared transportation, oxygen equipment, first aid kit, Spanish-speaking driver-guide, and en-route snack. If you require a private tour or an English-speaking guide, pricing can be arranged. There is plenty of time to plan your visit. Small group tours with a minimum of 2 passengers.

Not Included: English-speaking guide, alcoholic beverages, soft drinks or juices, cold and hot bottled water
