At 8:00 a.m., we will pick you up from your hotel in Putre and head to the Jurasi Hot Springs—one of the most fascinating spots in the Chilean Andean foothills.
According to Aymara culture, these volcanic thermal pools guard the secret to eternal youth. This hike, which lasts between 4 to 5 hours, covers a total of 12 kilometers with a 500-meter ascent, allowing us to enjoy the stunning landscapes of northern Chile.
Along the way, we’ll witness the vast area covered by the different Jurasi hot springs. These natural pools, located at an altitude of 4,100 meters, maintain temperatures ranging between 40 and 50 degrees Celsius (104–122°F). As you'll see, the bathing areas include both indoor and open-air pools. Additionally, there are several spots designated for treatments with medicinal mud.
We’ll take a break halfway through the route to enjoy a snack. After recharging our energy, we’ll continue exploring the fascinating landscape of Chile’s far north.
Finally, we’ll take the same route back to the town of Putre. Arrival is expected between 12:00 and 1:00 p.m.
