At 8:00 a.m., we will pick you up from your hotel in Putre and descend to the charming village of Socoroma, located at an altitude of 3,100 meters (10,170 feet) above sea level. From there, we’ll begin a trekking route through one of the most scenic valleys in the Andean foothills of northern Chile. Along ancient stone paths, agricultural terraces, and archaeological remains, we’ll follow a historic section of the Qhapaq Ñan, the legendary Inca Trail. Ready for an unforgettable hike?
The route will follow the Inca Trail, originally known as the Qhapaq Ñan, which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its exceptional historical, cultural, and scenic value. During the hike, which will take approximately 6 to 7 hours depending on the group’s pace, we’ll make several stops to enjoy the captivating landscapes featuring gorges, rivers, and rocky areas.
We’ll take another break around midday to enjoy a snack along the trail. After eating, we’ll continue exploring other beautiful natural areas surrounding the Inca path.
Finally, we’ll return by vehicle from Socoroma. Arrival at your hotel is expected between 2:00 and 3:00 p.m.
Includes: First aid kit, Spanish-speaking guide, en-route snack. If you require a private tour or an English-speaking guide, pricing can be arranged. There is plenty of time to plan your visit. Small group tours with a minimum of 2 passengers.
