Standing at an altitude of 5,736 meters (18,819 feet) above sea level, this volcano is a true paradise for nature lovers and adventurers alike. It is situated in the Andes, near the border with Bolivia and not far from the famous Lake Titicaca. Its location makes it an attractive destination for mountaineers as well as for those interested in Andean culture and the breathtaking natural landscapes of the region.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Itinerary<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Day 1: Putre \u2013 Acclimatization Trek.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">Para poder tener una aclimataci\u00f3n paulatina y acorde a las exigencias de esta actividad es que se realiza esta primea actividad f\u00edsica de altura. Partiremos a las 15:00 pm desde la plaza del poblado de Putre por lo cual la cita ser\u00e1 a las 14:30 pm. Desde este sector nos trasladaremos a trav\u00e9s del paisaje de precordillera hacia la transici\u00f3n del altiplano por un sendero que une el poblado y el cerro surunche; este sendero ser\u00e1 nuestra primera prueba de caminata en ambientes de monta\u00f1a.<\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Day 2: Putre \u2013 Alto Camp.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>From Putre, we will drive towards the Casiri Lagoons area, which is part of Lauca National Park. From there, we will continue in a 4\u00d74 vehicle up to the lower slopes of this volcano, where most of the emergency and support logistics provided by the staff will be located. After that, we will carry all the necessary gear to set up High Camp and bring the technical equipment required for the ascent. This section has an elevation gain of 540 meters (1,772 feet), and High Camp will be established at 4,950 meters (16,240 feet) above sea level, where we will spend the night.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Day 3. High Camp \u2013 Mount Kunturiri Summit \u2013 Putre<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>On this day, we will set out early in the morning with the goal of reaching the summit of Mount Kunturiri. The route covers a total distance of 7 kilometers (4.3 miles) over approximately 9 hours, with an elevation gain of 810 meters (2,657 feet), reaching the summit at an altitude of 5,736 meters (18,819 feet) above sea level. After the ascent, we will return to High Camp to pack up and then descend to the vehicles for the return trip to Putre.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Prices\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Expedici\u00f3n en 3 d\u00edas\/ 2 noches : $360.000<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">\u2022 Be 18 years of age or older.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Participants must complete and sign a Risk Assumption form required by SERNATUR, as well as a medical questionnaire requested at the time of booking the service.
