Between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m., according to prior agreement with the passenger, we\u2019ll pick you up from your hotel in Putre and head directly to the base of these peaks. There, we\u2019ll begin a trekking route divided into three stages. The hike, which covers approximately 2.5 kilometers (1.5 miles) and lasts about 3 hours, will take us along various moderately difficult trails. Along the way, we\u2019ll admire the reddish, ochre, brown, and yellow tones of the Suriplaza mountains, created by the natural oxidation of metals.<\/p>\n
In the first stage, we\u2019ll ascend to an altitude of 5,295 meters (17,372 feet), with an elevation gain of 260 meters (853 feet).<\/p>\n
This route offers one of the less complex challenges on the Altiplano. The trek takes approximately 4 hours to complete, requiring a brisk pace and coping with variable terrain conditions. Therefore, it\u2019s essential to be well acclimated to prevent altitude sickness.<\/p>\n
We\u2019ll take a break halfway through the route to enjoy a snack. After recharging, we\u2019ll gradually descend through the \u201cRainbow Mountains\u201d of Suriplaza, taking time to appreciate the intricate details and vibrant tones of their multicolored landscapes.<\/p>\n
Finally, we\u2019ll return to the starting point and from there drive back to Putre. Arrival at your hotel is expected between 2:00 and 3:00 p.m.<\/p>\n
